Jennifer Freeman

VP, Clinical Operations at vTv Therapeutics

Jennifer Freeman is the VP of Clinical Operations at vTv Therapeutics. Jennifer has over 15 years of experience in the biotech industry, with a focus on early stage companies.

Jennifer started their career as a Consultant at Bioemerge Partners, where they assisted early stage companies with organizational and strategic planning needs. Jennifer also performed technology assessments for technology transfer offices and entrepreneurs, and provided due diligence for angel investors.

In August 2000, Jennifer joined Amplistar, Inc as Research Manager. In this role, they managed HTP testing and patenting of immunological biomarkers for cancer diagnostics. During their time at Amplistar, Jennifer was able to develop multiple patents that are now used in cancer diagnostics worldwide.

After two years at Amplistar, Jennifer moved to their current role as VP of Clinical Operations at vTv Therapeutics. In this role, they are responsible for leading the clinical development of vTv’s novel therapeutics. Under their leadership, vTv has successfully completed multiple clinical trials and is now moving into Phase III development.

Jennifer Freeman holds a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Jennifer went on to earn their Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Emory University before completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Duke University with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

They work with Deepa Prasad - Strategic Advisor, Robert C. Andrews - SVP, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Development & Quality, and Vanessa McDade - Chief Administration Officer. Their manager is Rich Nelson, Interim Chief Executive Officer.
