Ben Hong

Ben Hong has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Ben began their career as a Team Guide at Udacity in 2015 and later worked as a Front End Developer at Element 84. In 2016, they took on roles as a Mentor and Project Reviewer at Treehouse and as a Senior UI Developer at POLITICO. In 2017, they joined Pandan Studio as a Staff Software Engineer. In 2018, they became a Senior Frontend Engineer at GitLab Inc. and also started working as an Adjunct Instructor at OpenClassrooms. In 2019, they became a Lead Instructor at Vue Mastery and held the position until 2020. During this period, they also worked as a Senior Developer Experience (DX) Engineer at Cypress.io for a brief time. In 2020, they joined Netlify and held various roles including Senior Developer Experience Engineer and Senior Staff Developer Experience Engineer.

Ben Hong obtained a Master of Professional Studies degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the same institution in 2010. In addition to their formal education, they also hold certifications such as AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services obtained in May 2018, and a Front-End Web Developer Nanodegree from Udacity obtained in 2015.
