Craig Marsland (FCA)

Craig Marsland (FCA) has extensive work experience in various finance and consulting roles.

Craig joined Vuealta in 2021 and currently holds the position of Principal Consultant. Prior to this, they worked as a Managing Consultant from February 2021 to January 2022.

From 2011 to 2021, Craig worked at Taylor Wimpey plc in multiple roles. Craig served as the Director of FP&A - Central Operations from December 2018 to January 2021, where they acted as a business partner to Group Ops Director, Group Heads of Function, and Strategic Land MDs. Before that, they were the Finance Director - Strategic Land from November 2016 to December 2018 and Head of Finance Systems Transformation from September 2015 to November 2016. Craig also held the position of Finance Manager South Midlands from November 2014 to September 2015 and Head of Business Reporting from May 2011 to November 2014.

Prior to Taylor Wimpey plc, Craig worked at HP from 2007 to 2011. Craig served as the Global Finance Lead from June 2010 to May 2011, UK&I Software Finance Manager from September 2008 to June 2010, and Opportunity Consultant BPO Lead from May 2007 to August 2008.

From 2003 to 2007, they worked at Electronic Data Systems as a New Business Analyst. In this role, they provided commercial reviews and advice on deals and served as the lead finance advisor on large outsourcing deals.

Craig also has experience working at Syngenta as an Integration and Planning Controller from September 2001 to March 2003, Johnson Controls as a Business Development Manager from April 2000 to August 2001, AstraZeneca as an International Reporting Accountant - Agrochemicals from June 1999 to April 2000, Northern Foods / Express Dairies as a Project Accountant - Direct Service Division from April 1997 to June 1999, and Coopers & Lybrand as a Supervisor, Risk Management Services from September 1993 to March 1997.

Throughout their career, Craig Marsland has demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis, transformation initiatives, process improvement, business reporting, and risk management.

Craig Marsland (FCA) has a diverse education background. Craig earned their FCA (Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) qualification from ICAEW from 1993 to 1996. Prior to that, they completed a B.Eng First Class Honours degree in the Special Engineering Programme at Brunel University London from 1989 to 1993. Craig's education journey began at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Wakefield, where they completed their secondary education from 1982 to 1989. Besides their formal education, Craig has obtained several certifications including Corrective Exercise Specialization (CES) from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in December 2022, Level 3 Personal Trainer certification from Active IQ in March 2021, FA Licensed Football Coach certification from The Football Association in July 2019, Anaplan Certified Model Builder certification from Anaplan in March 2022, Anaplan Certified Solution Architect certification from Anaplan in January 2023, and PRINCE2® Registered Practitioner certification from APMG International in September 2013.
