Melissa Anderson

Melissa Anderson serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief People & Transformation Officer at Albemarle Corporation, a position held since January 2021. Concurrently, Melissa serves as a Non-Executive Director at Vulcan Materials Company and is a Board Member and Past Board Chairwoman of SHRM. Previously, Melissa held key roles at Duke Energy Corporation as Executive Vice President of Administration and Chief Human Resources Officer, and at Domtar, Inc. as Senior Vice President of Human Resources, where significant contributions included leading talent strategies and overseeing substantial budgets. Earlier experience includes prominent HR positions at Kangaroo Express and IBM Corporation, where impactful initiatives were implemented to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee retention. Melissa holds a Master of Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and a B.S. in Industrial Relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
