Kenneth Shaffner

Kenneth Shaffner, P.E. is an experienced Design Engineer at Vulcraft, a division of Nucor Steel, since December 2017, specializing in the design of open web steel joists and joist girders for various commercial applications while ensuring compliance with SJI standards. Prior to this role, Kenneth held positions such as Civil/Environmental Engineering Intern at Burns & McDonnell, where responsibilities included engineering support for construction observation and air permitting, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, focusing on materials consulting research for the South Dakota Department of Transportation.
