Sebastien Gravier is the President and founder of Vulkam, a potential global leader in metallurgy, since December 2017. Vulkam focuses on the industrialization of Vulkalloys, a range of metals with extraordinary properties, aiming to establish future standards in metallurgy and metalworking. Prior to Vulkam, Sebastien held the position of Maître de conférences at SIMAP, a materials research laboratory in Grenoble, from December 2007 to January 2022, where research focused on amorphous metal alloys. Expertise includes the development of new alloys, creation of bulk and thin films, as well as mechanical and functional characterization. Additionally, experience includes a postdoctoral role at the IMAP laboratory/UCL, involving the development of lab-on-chip technologies for studying the mechanical properties of thin films. Educational background includes a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from École normale supérieure and a Research Doctorate in Materials Science from Grenoble INP - UGA.
