Chris Polman

Mr. Polman took office as a member of the board of VUmc in July 2013 and has been dean of the Faculty of Medicine since 1 September 2016. Polman has been working at VUmc since 1986. In 1994 he was appointed professor of neurology, after which he became head of the department of the same name in 2011. He is regarded worldwide as an outstanding scientist in the field of multiple sclerosis (MS) and over the years he has held various positions on policy and administrative issues. At VUmc, he also remained closely involved in quality and safety in patient care.
