Dr. Diane van der Biessen currently serves as an Examinator MANP at Hogeschool Leiden since May 2022 and has been a Nurse Practitioner in Medical Oncology at Erasmus MC since August 2005, where additional roles include member of the patient council at Erasmus MC Kanker Instituut and clinical practice instructor for nurse practitioners. Dr. van der Biessen is also active as a Study Coordinator with V&VN (Verpleegkundigen & Verzorgenden Nederland) since June 2021 and chairs the Working Group for Scientific Nursing Specialists in Oncology. Prior experience includes coordinating early clinical research at VENVS oncologie and serving as a Ph.D. candidate at Erasmus MC Kanker Instituut, focusing on the complexities of phase I trials for advanced cancer patients. Educational background includes a Master's degree in Nursing from Hogeschool Leiden and a Ph.D. candidacy completed at Erasmus University Rotterdam between 2013 and 2018.
