Saskia Teunissen

Saskia Teunissen is a distinguished expert in palliative care, currently serving as the Chair of the Steering Committee for the National Program for Palliative Care II and holding a Full Professor position at UMC Utrecht since 1998. As Chair of the Centre of Knowledge and Expertise in Palliative Care, Saskia is involved in research, consultation, and educational initiatives. With a focus on hospice care, Saskia has overseen significant developments in palliative care and healthcare research and has held leadership positions in various organizations, including the Cooperative Palliative Care Netherlands and the Foundation Palliative Care Netherlands. Educated at esteemed institutions, including Utrecht University and Maastricht University, Saskia has contributed extensively to the advancement of palliative care through their roles in multiple organizations and research projects.
