Tyler Monson's work experience begins in 2008 when they worked as a Summer Temp at PacifiCorp. In 2011, they worked as a Production Line Worker for Express Employment Professionals before taking on the role of a Grounds Worker at Brigham Young University. Tyler operated heavy machinery as part of a hard surface cleaning crew during this time.
Starting in 2012, Tyler became a Teaching Assistant and Head Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Programming at Brigham Young University. In 2013, they took on additional teaching assistant roles for Advanced Programming and Data Structures.
In 2014, Tyler interned as an Android and iOS Developer at USAA, followed by an internship as a Software Engineer at Target in 2015. During their time at Brigham Young University, they also worked as an Advanced Programming Instructor and Computer Security Teaching Assistant.
From 2016 to 2017, Tyler served as a graduate research assistant at Brigham Young University's Internet Security Research Lab. Tyler was a lead researcher and author on one academic paper and coauthor and supported researcher on two others.
Starting in 2017, Tyler worked as a Software Development Engineer and Team Lead at Clearwater Analytics. Tyler held this position until 2021, when they transitioned to their current role as a Software Developer at VYNYL.
Tyler Monson completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at Brigham Young University from 2011 to 2015. Tyler further pursued their education and obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the same university between 2016 and 2017.
