Dinesh Thekkoot

Dinesh Thekkoot has worked in a variety of roles in the field of genetics. Dinesh began their career in 2000 as a Deputy Manager at the Kerala Livestock Development Board. In 2010, they became a Research Assistant at Iowa State University and in 2015 they were promoted to Postdoctoral Fellow at the same university. In 2015, they moved to Genesus INC where they worked as a Geneticist. Currently, they are employed as a Senior Quantitative Geneticist at Vytelle since 2022.

Dinesh Thekkoot's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Animal Breeding and Genetics (Statistics Minor) from Iowa State University, obtained between 2010 and 2014. Dinesh also obtained a Master's Degree in Animal Breeding and Genetics from Kiel University between 2008 and 2009. Additionally, they obtained a Master's Degree in Animal Breeding and Genetics from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) between 2007 and 2008. Dinesh obtained a Master's Degree in Livestock Production Management from Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur between 1998 and 2000, and a BVSc & AH in Veterinary Science from Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur between 1992 and 1998. Dinesh also holds a Communication Foundations certification from LinkedIn, obtained in February 2022.
