Michael Dayawon is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in electronics and automation. Currently serving as an Electronics Engineer at W. M. Keck Observatory since November 2020, Michael is responsible for the control systems of telescopes, domes, and shutters, as well as electrical power distribution. Prior to this role, Michael worked at Bayer Crop Science from November 2008 to October 2020 as both an Automation Engineer and Electrical Engineer, focusing on the design and development of customized laboratory automation equipment and robotic systems. Earlier in the career, Michael served as a Controls Engineer and Customer Service Engineer at Intelligrated from January 2003 to November 2008, where responsibilities included control systems engineering for advanced material handling solutions. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, completed between 1998 and 2002.
