Tahir Mahmood

Tahir Mahmood has a diverse range of work experience in the finance and investment industry. Tahir is currently the Vice President of Strategy & Growth at W Motors since May 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Business Development at Dubai Financial Market from April 2021 to April 2023. Tahir also had a long tenure at Nasdaq Dubai, where they served as the Head of Business Development for ten years, from July 2013 to April 2023. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Senior Manager - Islamic Markets & Business Development at Bahrain Financial Exchange from July 2010 to November 2012. Additionally, Tahir worked at Fajr Investment Advisory as an Operations Manager, where they played a vital role in establishing the company and managed a team of brokers. Tahir also held roles as an Operations Manager at Ashton Commodities Ltd and a member of the Trading Desk at Dawnay Day.

Tahir Mahmood's education history includes completing a certificate program in QBAC+ Qualified Business Angel Certification from WBAF - World Business Angels Invest Forum in 2019. In 2018, they also attended a program on Blockchain Strategy at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Prior to that, they obtained a CIFP degree in Islamic Finance from The International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF) during 2010-2011. Tahir Mahmood's earliest formal education was a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business Computing Systems from City, University of London, which they completed from 1999 to 2003.
