Steven Norris

Steven Norris currently serves as the Executive Director at the Department of Health (WA Health) since August 2022. Previously, Steven held multiple senior roles at NSW Ambulance from May 2018 to August 2022, including Assistant Commissioner (Director) of Control Centres and Acting Deputy Commissioner. Steven's experience also includes serving as Director of Legal Regulatory & Professional Standards at the Department of Justice from September 2012 to April 2018, and Director of Investigation Services at the Office of Police Integrity from September 2008 to September 2012. Early in Steven's career, a tenure at WA Police from June 1997 to September 2008 included positions as Police Detective and Police Officer. Steven's educational background features completion of the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2020, training at the Australian Institute of Police Management in 2018, a Diploma in Public Safety (Policing) from WA Police Academy, and a Diploma in Government Investigations from Charles Sturt University.
