Anna Gelavis

Anna Gelavis is a seasoned professional in the field of pharmacy and public health, currently serving as the State Manager for Medicines and Poisons Approvals at WA Health since July 2007, where strategic policy development and expert advice on controlled drugs programs are paramount. Anna has also held various leadership roles including Acting Chief Pharmacist and Manager of Drugs of Dependence, where significant contributions include developing the first WA Schedule 8 Prescribing Code. Beyond WA Health, Anna contributes as a Board Director at Telethon Speech & Hearing Ltd, an AHPRA Approved Board Examiner, and a member of the WA Primary Health Alliance Quality Use Medicines Committee. Anna has a strong educational background with degrees from Curtin University and holds multiple fellowships and certifications, enhancing governance and leadership in public health settings.
