Waag Futurelab
Justin Stewart is an accomplished researcher and founder currently serving as the Founder of TheCrobe since April 2023 and a PhD Candidate at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where research focuses on plant-root associated microbiome symbiosis. In addition, Justin Stewart works as a Data Ecologist at SPUN, mapping soil fungi biodiversity and analyzing biogeographic patterns influenced by agriculture and climate. Previous experience includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at Villanova University, investigating urban atmospheric microbiome diversity, and as a Laboratory Teaching Assistant at St. Edward's University. Justin Stewart holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Ecology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, a Master of Science in Geography and Environmental Science from Villanova University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Edward's University.
