Maarten Smith

Maarten Smith is a Concept Developer at Waag Futurelab since November 2021, where responsibilities include assisting design and research activities for the BioHack Academy and conducting ethnographic research on DIY biology practices. Additionally, Maarten serves as an Education and Research Officer at Eindhoven University of Technology from June 2019. Prior experience includes working as a Junior Design Researcher at RISE Interactive Institute AB from September 2017 to February 2018. Maarten holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Industrial Design from Eindhoven University of Technology (2016-2018) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Industrial Design from the same institution (2013-2016). Early education was completed at Porta Mosana College, achieving VWO Natuur en Gezondheid and VWO Natuur en Techniek between 2007 and 2013.
