Christy Martin is an accomplished marketing and advertising professional with extensive experience across various roles in the industry. Currently serving as the National Sales Manager at WAAY-TV since October 2018, Martin focuses on advertising and marketing for national accounts in North Alabama. Previous positions include Client Manager at Spectrum Reach, where data-driven advertising solutions were developed for diverse clients, and Field Media Planner for the U.S. Army at McCann Worldgroup, responsible for multi-channel media planning and buying. Martin also has a background in yacht brokerage, magazine publishing, and local sales management, with early experience as a salesman at WDRM Country 102 FM and media planner/buyer at Eric Ericson & Associates. Christy Martin holds a B.A. in Marketing, Advertising, Economics, and English from Middle Tennessee State University.

WAAY 31 is the ABC affiliate in Huntsville-Decatur-Florence, AL and is part of Allen Media Broadcasting. WAAY 31 is North Alabama’s legacy station serving the region for almost 70-years. WAAY operates waaytv.com and airs This TV, ION, H&I and others from a transmitter at its Monte Sano Boulevard studios on top of Monte Sano Mountain, one of the most beautiful views in the area. WAAY 31 has been honored by the Alabama Broadcasters Association as Alabama’s 2022 Station of the Year. WAAY 31 is home to the nation’s largest privately owned radar network featuring three radars strategically placed from border to border across North Alabama.
