Amber King RN, MSN-Leadership and Management has extensive nursing experience, currently serving as an Emergency Room Nurse at Wabash General Hospital since September 2019. Prior to this role, Amber worked as a Hospice Nurse and Intensive Care Nurse at Daviess Community Hospital from November 2014 to September 2019. Amber's nursing career began at Gibson General Hospital, where roles included Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and Registered Nurse (RN) from June 2008 to October 2015. Educational achievements include a Master's of Science in Nursing with a focus on Organizational Leadership and Management, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Registered Nursing from Western Governors University and Illinois Eastern Community Colleges-Wabash Valley College. Currently, Amber is pursuing a postgraduate degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Western Governors University.

Wabash General Hospital is a not-for-profit district hospital. It is overseen by a nine member board of directors who are appointed by the county commissioners. Wabash General is a Critical Access Hospital with a 25 bed capacity. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. It has been managed by Alliant Management Services since 1987 and has been open since 1951. The sole purpose of Wabash General Hospital is to provide high quality, cost effective health care in Wabash and surrounding counties, and promote the general health of its residents.
