Alexander Artman

Alexander Artman has a significant amount of experience in the field of sourcing and supply chain management. Alexander has held various leadership roles in renowned companies such as Wabtec Corporation, GE Power, GE Healthcare, GE Transportation, and GE Power & Water.

At Wabtec Corporation, they currently serve as the Vice President Materials Freight & Mining Operations.

During their time at GE Power, they held several executive positions, including Director Global Sourcing and Executive Sourcing Leader in the Hot Gas Path and Combustion department. Alexander was responsible for managing a global team, driving supplier strategy, pricing, contracts, and purchase order execution. Alexander was also heavily involved in new product and supplier development for the power market.

At GE Healthcare, Artman served as the Executive Sourcing Leader for Electronics & High Tech, managing a significant annual direct material spend for the company.

In their tenure at GE Transportation, they held the role of General Manager Sourcing, where they managed the entire supply base for the $6 billion Transportation business. Alexander was responsible for overseeing a team of sourcing personnel worldwide and establishing key initiatives for business growth and cost competitiveness.

Artman also worked at GE Power & Water, where they held positions such as Executive Sourcing Leader for Jenbacher Gas Engines and Hungary Operations, Executive Sourcing COE Leader for Castings, Combustion, and New Products, Manager of Global Sourcing Energy Services Parts, and Manager of Global Sourcing Supplier Risk and Fulfillment. In these roles, they demonstrated expertise in managing significant spends, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely fulfillment and delivery.

Prior to their roles at GE, Artman served as the Manager of Selkirk Service Operations and Business Leader for Locomotive Platform Assembly and Fabrication at GE Transportation.

Alexander Artman earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo in 1996. Afterward, they pursued a Master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University from 1996 to 1998. During the same period, they also completed the GE Edison Engineering Program, consisting of four six-month rotation assignments in Mechanical Engineering at GE Transportation.
