Mahir Erdem Telatar

Mahir Erdem Telatar has a solid work history, with extensive experience in engineering and software development roles. Starting in 1996, they worked as a Software Engineer at GE, responsible for the design, development, testing, and integration of control systems software. Mahir Erdem eventually became a Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead, where they led a team of software engineers and designed an optimized real-time planning algorithm.

From 2009 to 2012, Telatar served as a Senior Systems Engineer and Business Analytics Lead at GE, where they defined requirements and implemented a railroad traffic optimization system. This system improved train efficiency and resulted in significant cost savings for the railroad.

In 2012, Telatar transitioned to the role of Senior Staff Software Architect at GE. Mahir Erdem held this position until 2018 when they joined Wabtec Corporation as a Principal Data Scientist. Mahir Erdem also has additional certifications in Computing for Data Analysis from Coursera in 2014 and a Six Sigma Green Belt certification in 2003.
