Steven Lafever

Steven LaFever has extensive experience in operations and management within the engineering and manufacturing sectors, notably with Wabtec Corporation from November 2010 to May 2024. As Senior Director Plant Manager at Grove City Engine Reman, Steven oversaw the operations related to the circular economy of Diesel Locomotive Engines. Steven also served as QPS Group Leader, focusing on continuous improvement initiatives, and held roles in quality and performance systems engineering and industrial engineering, contributing to major project management efforts and lean training programs. Following this, Steven became General Manager at Wabtec Rubber Products, where responsibilities included developing and executing strategic plans to enhance performance in safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Prior to these roles, Steven worked as a Lean/Quality Coordinator at General Carbide Corporation. Steven holds an MBA in Operations from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University.
