Michele Caggana is currently serving as the Director of the Newborn Screening Program at Wadsworth Center since 1996. Prior to this role, Michele has held various positions within NYSDOH since February 1996, including Director of Newborn Screening, Deputy Director of the Division of Genetic Disorders, and Section Head of Genetics. Michele holds a Sc.D. in Cancer Biology from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Rider University.
