Sidney Folse Jr. has a diverse work experience in the broadcasting industry. Sidney started their career in 1981 as an Engineering Maintenance apprentice at WWL-TV. Sidney also operated and maintained a Satellite Uplink Truck. Sidney joined WAFB TV in 2014 as an Engineering Manager. Over the years, they took on various roles, including Director of Technology and Chief Engineer, where they oversaw the technological aspects of the company. Overall, Sidney has extensive experience in engineering, maintenance, and technical operations in the broadcasting field.

The tradition of television in Baton Rouge began on April 19, 1953, when WAFB signed on the air as the second television station in Louisiana.
