Kim Abghari

Kim Abghari, CPA, serves as Assistant Controller at WaFd Bank since October 2024. Prior to this role, Kim was Senior Finance Manager at First Interstate from May 2023 to October 2024, and held various positions at Washington Federal from May 2015 to May 2023, including Regulatory Reporting Manager, Internal Control Officer, and DNA Project Lead. Kim's career began at Mountain West Bank, where roles included SVP of Operations and Vice President from 1999 to 2012. Kim holds a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, both obtained from Western Governors University between 2012 and 2017, and completed high school education at Beavercreek High School.
