Olga Gurkovskaya

Olga Gurkovskaya, PhD, currently serves as a Research Intern at the Andrews Research & Education Foundation, focusing on sports medicine and preparing clinical research data for statistical analysis. Prior experience includes a long tenure at Waffle House, Inc. as a General Manager, where operational efficiency improved significantly under leadership. Olga also contributed as a Content Writer for Bio Careers, specializing in career development in the biomedical sector. As a Business Owner at Semitsvetik, LLC, Olga managed exporting operations and cultivated customer relations. In the academic realm, research experience includes a Postdoctoral Associate role at LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans, exploring alcohol use disorder, and earlier work as a Graduate Student and Research Assistant concentrating on neurobiology and substance use disorder. Olga holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and a Master's degree in Physiology from Saint Petersburg State University.
