Satoru Sasozaki

Satoru Sasozaki's work experience begins in 2016 at Waygo, where they worked as a Software Engineer Intern. During this time, they implemented a Hidden Markov Model algorithm for the machine translation engine and built a tokenizer for the Japanese language, significantly improving the accuracy of Japanese translation. Satoru also developed a module to examine the translation quality of various translation tools.

In 2020, Satoru joined On Deck as an ODF7 Founder Fellow, a role they held until 2021. Satoru then became a Snap's Yellow Accelerator Fellow at Snap Inc. from February to May 2021.

Currently, Satoru is the Co-founder and CEO of Waffle Journal. Under their leadership, Waffle aims to provide a safe and quiet space for group journaling, fostering authentic self-expression and facilitating deeper conversations with loved ones.

Satoru Sasozaki pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Applied Linguistics from Kwansei Gakuin University between the years 2010 and 2014.
