Ben Morris

Ben Morris has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Ben currently holds the position of Global Director of Technology Operations at Wagestream, where they have been since September 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Technology Operations at Wagestream from October 2021 to September 2022, and as the Technology Operations Lead from September 2020 to September 2021.

Before joining Wagestream, Ben worked at AMSLDN as a Director starting from January 2019. Ben also gained experience as a Back End Developer at Mentalogue from January 2020 to October 2021.

In 2019, Ben had the role of Head of Product Operations (Extended 6m Contract) at Flyt, where they oversaw the engineering requirement planning and product delivery for a McDonald's project in Canada.

In 2018, they were a Mentee at Saga.one, and concurrently, pursued self-guided learning in various technical domains as a Student at Independent Learning.

Earlier in their career, Ben served as the Head of B2B Operations at Quiqup from July 2014 to August 2017, where they played a key role in the successful delivery of Tesco's On-Demand delivery service and the integration of Just Eat/Quiqup business services API.

Ben also gained experience at Royal Mail as a Dispatch Management Controller and at Ashurst as a Logistics Part-Time employee, providing logistic assistance.

Ben's earlier experience includes working as a Multi-Asset Derivatives Broker at Pretium Securities Ltd, where they advised clients on short-term leveraged equity derivative investments and managed daily client communication.

Throughout their career, Ben has showcased their expertise in technology operations, product management, and logistics, contributing significantly to the companies they have worked for.

Ben Morris completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Reading from 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, they attended The John Lyon School in Harrow-on-the-Hill from 1994 to 2001, where they earned 10 GCSEs and 3 A-Levels with grades A to C. In addition to their formal education, Ben also obtained several certifications including Front End Libraries and JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures from freeCodeCamp in 2020, Elements of AI from Reaktor in 2019, Six Sigma White belt from Aveta Business Institute in 2018, and CompTIA A+ Certified in 2014. Ben also holds certifications in Agile Scrum Principles and has completed various Certificate in Investments courses from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
