Lia Villarreal Cruz has a diverse work experience starting in 2002 as a Teacher of Spanish Language in private lessons. In 2004, they worked as a Psychologist in the Spanish Army before moving on to Charity Madre Coraje, where they gained experience in Psychology and Marketing work practice. Lia then worked as a Supervisor at Lowlander Grand Cafe from 2006 to 2009. Lia joined GAUCHO in 2009 and took on roles such as Waitress, Events and Marketing, HR Administrator, Head of Staff Recruitment, and Head of Recruitment until 2016. From 2016 to 2018, they served as the Head of Employee Relations at GAUCHO and CAU. Most recently, they have been with Wahaca since 2018, starting as an HR Manager and currently serving as the Head of People.
Lia Villarreal Cruz earned a Master's degree in International Human Resource Management from the University of Greenwich from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they studied Psychology at the Universidad de Granada from 1999 to 2004, where they completed their undergraduate degree in Psychology.
