Ethan Jerome-Leota

Ethan Jerome-Leota is an experienced legal professional currently serving as a Legal Advisor at Waikato-Tainui since July 2018, where responsibilities include preparing comprehensive legal advice across various issues facing the organization. Previously held roles at Waikato-Tainui include Legal Advisor (Secondee) and Settlement and Claims Advisor, specializing in Treaty Settlement law and policy. In addition to legal roles, Ethan serves as a Board Trustee for Community Law Waikato, representing Waikato-Tainui, and was involved with the New Zealand National Commission for UNESCO as Youth Chair and Deputy Youth Chair, advocating for youth perspectives. Ethan has also contributed as Waikato Māngai for Te Hunga Rōia Māori o Aotearoa. Ethan holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from The University of Waikato.
