Michael Gaylord

Michael Gaylord is the Technical Co-Founder and CTO at Waitroom. Prior to Waitroom, they were a Senior Solutions Engineer at Branch from March 2019 to September 2020. At Branch, they powered deep linking and mobile attribution for 35,000+ apps in the world, including household names like Airbnb, Pinterest, Slack, Ticketmaster, Tinder, Starbucks, and Yelp. Every day, Branch's customers generated more than 100 million new URLs, and they processed 2.5TB of raw data from over 10 billion events.

Before Branch, Gaylord was the Mobile Engineering Lead at Step Mobile from July 2018 to January 2019. At Step Mobile, they were responsible for leading the mobile engineering team and building the best banking experience to help teens and young adults achieve financial independence and knowledge at an earlier age.

From November 2016 to June 2018, Gaylord was the Mobile Team Lead at Civic Technologies. And from September 2014 to September 2016, they were the Co-founder & Engineering Team Lead at Storie.

Gaylord started their career as the Lead iOS Engineer & Product Development at gyft in February 2012 and left in April 2014.

Michael Gaylord studied Computer Science at the University of Cape Town, where they earned a Bachelor of Science Honours degree. Michael also holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the same institution.
