Josephine Courant is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in creative direction, branding, and design. Josephine currently serves as an Advisory Board Member for WAKE (Women’s Alliance for Knowledge Exchange), contributing to social justice initiatives for over 1,380 leaders and girls internationally. As Creative Director at Springshot since 2014, Josephine oversees UX and UI design, brand needs, and public relations efforts. Previous roles include Creative Director at Webshots and See Jane Fly, Co-Founder and Publisher of Wayfare, and consulting for Novella Media. Educationally, Josephine holds an MFA in Computer Arts from the Academy of Art University and dual BA degrees in International Politics and Studio Arts (Photography) from Georgetown University.

Women's Alliance for Knowledge Exchange (WAKE)’s mission is to amplify the work of women leading change globally. WAKE engages technologists and experts from innovative companies to maximize results for global women’s organizations. WAKE links high-impact, innovative women’s organizations to technology tools and expertise from leading companies to help organizations accelerate their impact and scale their work. We work closely with our private sector partners to provide tools, products, advisers and resources. Women’s organizations are leading the charge to address the most critical issues impacting women and girls, including gender-based violence, trafficking, child marriage, access to healthcare and education, political participation, and economic empowerment.
