Emily Edwards

Emily Edwards, LCSW, is an experienced social worker currently serving as the Residential Director at Columbia Engineering since April 2025 and as a School Social Worker for the Wake County Public School System since July 2021. Previously, Emily worked as a School Social Worker for Metro Nashville Public Schools, providing supportive counseling and crisis management for K-12 students and their families. Additional experience includes roles as Senior Residential Director and Consultant at The School of The New York Times, Pediatric Social Worker at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, and School Social Worker for Austin Independent School District. Emily's educational background includes a Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a Spanish minor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
