Dara Demi

Dara Demi currently serves as the Chief Communications Officer for Wake County, a position held since March 2015, overseeing external and internal communications, marketing, and creative services for a large municipal government. Prior to this role, Dara Demi was the Communications Director, managing media relations and digital media for the largest county in North Carolina. Experience also includes significant roles at the N.C. Department of Transportation, where Dara Demi held positions including Director of Marketing Communications and Marketing Services Manager, overseeing teams responsible for strategic communications and performance management. Earlier career highlights feature news anchoring and reporting at KVOA-TV and WCTI-TV, along with reporting roles at various other television stations. Dara Demi earned a Bachelor of Journalism in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
