Dawn Comfort

Dawn Comfort, BS, is an experienced IT professional currently serving as an IT Systems Engineer for Wake County since April 2023. Previously, Dawn held the role of Director of IT and Raleigh Community Director for Toward Zero Waste, contributing as a founding member of the Executive Team to establish a non-profit organization focused on reducing environmental waste. Additional experience includes consulting for Follow the Child Montessori School, where Dawn modernized data infrastructure, and serving as a Volunteer Engagement Fellow for Habitat for Humanity of Wake County, developing a volunteer engagement plan. Dawn's extensive background at IBM included roles as an e-Learning Project Manager and e-Learning Technical Lead, focusing on multimedia educational content and product quality improvement. Dawn's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Math/Computer Science from Emory University.
