Ana Clara Melo

Ana Clara Melo is a dedicated scientist and researcher with extensive experience in molecular and cellular biology, particularly focused on cancer immunotherapies and cardiovascular diseases. Currently employed at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist since February 2020 as a Scientist and Associate Researcher, Ana also serves as a Technician II at Wake Forest University and has been involved in research related to cancer immunotherapy pathways. Ana's academic contributions include teaching various biology courses at Forsyth Technical Community College since January 2014 and providing editorial and translation services for clinical documents with the ASCP/Global Outreach Program since September 2010. Ana's prior experience includes a post-doc position at the Center for Coastal Environmental Health and Biomolecular Research, emphasizing neurotoxicity research. Ana holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the Medical University of South Carolina, acquired between 1994 and 2000.
