Emily Smith

Emily Smith is an experienced professional in philanthropic engagement and communications, currently serving as the Associate Vice President of Philanthropic Engagement at Wake Forest University since 2006, where previous roles included Assistant Vice President of Donor Experience and Director of Advancement Communications. Prior to her tenure at Wake Forest University, Emily held the position of Marketing and Communications Director at the GREATER WINSTON-SALEM CHAMBER OF COMMERCE from 2003 to 2006 and worked as a Consumer Communications Writer at Reynolds American Inc. from 2001 to 2003. Emily earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Public Relations from Appalachian State University from 1997 to 2001.
