Sydney Vermillion

Sydney Vermillion currently serves as the President of the Student Leadership Council in the Department of Education at Wake Forest University, having previously held the position of secretary. In this leadership role, Sydney organizes meetings, plans fundraisers and events, and advocates for education within the campus and the Winston-Salem community. Sydney also participates in the Skip Prosser Literacy Challenge, promoting literacy among elementary school students. Previous experience includes serving as Head Intern for Congressman David Schweikert in the U.S. House of Representatives, where responsibilities entailed providing tours, managing communications, and assisting with policy research. Sydney's earlier roles include positions at Madison Double R, Inmar Intelligence as an intern focused on digital dashboards, and conducting educational research at North Carolina State University's Game2Learn Lab. Education background includes studies at Wake Forest University and participation in a study abroad program.
