Rebecca Louie

Rebecca Louie is an accomplished leader in the affordable housing sector, currently serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Wakeland Housing and Development Corporation, a position held since September 2007 after previously serving as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. With experience dating back to 2004 at Wakeland, Rebecca has been instrumental in managing the organization’s operations and focusing on its mission to provide high-quality housing for low-income families. Prior to this, Rebecca held roles as a Project Manager at Wakeland, an Associate Regional Planner at SANDAG where responsibilities included managing initiatives related to social equity and environmental justice, and as Development Director at the Center on Policy Initiatives focusing on fundraising and advocacy. Rebecca holds a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Planning from UC San Diego.
