Julie Vanveldhuizen

Julie VanVeldhuizen is an accomplished professional in the field of child life, with extensive experience since 2004. As the owner of Ask Child Life since 2011, Julie provides resources to help parents communicate with children about medical care. In addition to that, Julie has worked with WakeMed as a Certified Child Life Specialist since 2006, where responsibilities include creating individualized care plans, advocating for patient needs, and facilitating training for staff and students. Previous roles include significant contributions at Vidant Health and Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital, alongside an academic foundation consisting of a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor of Science in Child, Adult, and Family Services from Iowa State University.
