William Lagarde

William Lagarde has extensive experience in pediatric healthcare, currently serving as the Executive Medical Director of Children's Services at WakeMed since July 2007. In addition to this leadership role, William holds several directorial positions including Medical Director of the Clinical Research Institute and Pediatric Subspecialties, as well as Director of Pediatric Endocrinology. Prior to his tenure at WakeMed, William was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine from July 2004 to June 2007. William Lagarde earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Tulane University School of Medicine between 1994 and 1998 and completed a Bachelor of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology at North Carolina State University from 1988 to 1991.
