Amanda Shaughnessy

Amanda Shaughnessy is the current General Counsel at Walbridge, having held the position since September 2023, and previously served as Associate General Counsel. Prior to this role, Amanda spent over 18 years at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, culminating as Chief Counsel. In this capacity, Amanda specialized in FHA-insured multifamily developments and public housing regulations, managing diverse projects, including multifamily and healthcare FHA-insured developments, Rental Assistance Demonstration conversions in Michigan, and collaborating with asset management staff on various lease and contract matters. Amanda holds a Master of Public Administration and a Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and English from Western Michigan University.
