Marisa Gelb

Marisa Gelb has extensive experience in guidance counseling and college admissions, currently serving as the High School Guidance Counselor and College Advisor at The Waldorf School of Garden City since February 2019. Previously, Marisa held the position of Assistant Director of College Guidance at Hebrew Academy of Nassau County from September 2013 to February 2019 and worked as an Admissions Counselor at St. John's University from August 2011 to August 2013. Marisa began their career in education as a School Counseling Intern at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in 2010-2011. Prior to their educational roles, Marisa gained customer service experience at Emirates and worked as a server at Ben's Kosher Delicatessen-Ben's Restaurant Group. Marisa holds a Master of Science in Counselor Education from Brooklyn College and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Colorado Boulder.
