Laura Schmid

Laura Schmid serves as the Vice President of Operations Improvement and Transformation at Walgreens Boots Alliance since May 2022, also holding the position of Chief of Staff to the EVP, President Walgreens Retail & Chief Customer Officer. Prior to this, Laura Schmid worked at the American Diabetes Association from 2016 to May 2022, where roles included Vice President of Strategy and Insights, Vice President of Strategy and Planning, and Managing Director of the Business Integration Office. Laura Schmid's earlier experience includes a tenure at Cerner Corporation from 2009 to 2016, where positions encompassed Director of Operations, Director of Population Health, Senior Business Strategist, and Business Strategist. Educational credentials include an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a BS in Biology from Duke University, and an MS in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs.
