Mohamed Z.

Mohamed Z. has extensive work experience in data engineering and processing. Mohamed currently works as a Principal Data Engineer at Walgreens Boots Alliance since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Slalom as a Cloud Data Engineer from September 2021 to February 2023, where they focused on implementing ELT pipelines and designing a cloud data foundation using Microsoft Azure. Before Slalom, Mohamed worked at CGG for several years in various roles, including Data Engineering Project Coordinator from January 2017 to July 2021, Senior Geophysical Data Processing Engineer from 2015 to 2017, Staff Geophysical Data Processing Engineer from 2012 to 2015, and Geophysical Data Processing Engineer from 2010 to 2012. At CGG, they were responsible for data manipulation, data cleaning, and implementing SQL queries for large seismic datasets.

Mohamed Z. has a diverse education history. Mohamed obtained a Master of Science degree in Subsurface Geoscience from Rice University, where they studied from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Geophysics from IFP School, studying from 2008 to 2010. Most recently, Mohamed completed Springboard's Data Science Career Track in 2021 and obtained a certificate in Data Science. Mohamed also obtained Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals in 2021. In 2022, they acquired additional certifications, including Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
