Research And Policy Analyst at Walk Free

Abigail Munroe is a seasoned professional in human rights advocacy and modern slavery analysis, currently serving as a Senior Modern Slavery Analyst for Walk Free since January 2022. In this role, Abigail focuses on policy and research, working with governments and businesses to enhance human rights responses and assess legislation impacting supply chains. Prior to this, Abigail held multiple positions at Lumos from November 2016 to January 2022, including Senior Advocacy and Campaigns Officer with an emphasis on anti-trafficking. Notable earlier experience includes a consultancy project with SafeLives, producing a key policy report on domestic abuse, and serving as a Strategic Advisor for West Yorkshire Police, where research informed government funding for domestic violence services. Abigail holds a Master of Laws in International Law and Human Rights Law and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Sociology, both from the University of Leeds.
