Sarah Lynn Oquist

Treasurer at Walker Art Center

Sarah Lynn Oquist is the current treasurer at Walker Art Center. Sarah has also previously worked at Management HQ, Woodlands National Bank, and Sapientia Law Group. At Sapientia, they were responsible for overseeing operations of the law firm and provided legal services related to financial services, commercial lending, corporate law, and employment issues. Sarah has also done management consulting, executive coaching (individual and team), and strategic planning services. Prior to their work at Sapientia, they were the CEO and chairman of the board of all the tribe’s businesses at Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures. There, they provided strategic leadership and overall direction for the parent company, Corporate Commission, and its various businesses. Sarah has also directly supervised 16 department leaders with more than 3,200 employees.

Sarah Lynn Oquist has a Juris Doctorate from Creighton University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Lyon College. Sarah is also a graduate of the Executive Development Program in Critical Issues & Strategic Planning from the University of Nevada, Reno. Sarah has certifications from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in FBI Citizens Academy (completion pending Spring 2022), Gallup in Certified Gallup Strengths Coach, NACD (National Association of Corporate Directors) in NACD Governance Fellow, CRR Global in Trained Organization & Relationship Systems Coach, Co-Active Training Institute in Certified Professional Co-Active Coach, and Co-Active Training Institute in Graduate, Leadership Program. Sarah is also certified by The Leadership Circle as a Certified Facilitator and by ProTrainings as an Adult CPR/AED Instructor.
