Michael M.

Michael M. has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Michael joined Walker & Dunlop in 2024 as an SVP & Deputy Chief Underwriter. Prior to that, they had a long tenure at Walker & Dunlop, starting in 2012, where they served in various roles including Senior Underwriter, AVP | Team Leader, and VP | Team Leader - GSE Underwriting. In these positions, they gained extensive experience underwriting GSE loans, including Fannie & Freddie product offerings, ILP Bridge loans, and Preferred Equity. Michael has worked on transactions involving borrowers of all sizes, including national Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Sponsors. Before joining Walker & Dunlop, Michael worked as the Director of Analytics at Western National Group from 2008 to 2012. Michael also had a role in Due Diligence at Pacific Property Company from 2007 to 2008. Prior to that, they worked as a Multifamily Underwriter at Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage and as an Analyst at Berkshire Mortgage Finance, both from 2000 to 2006.

Michael M. graduated from Marblehead High School in 1996. Michael then attended Babson College from 1996 to 2000, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Investments.
