Richard M. Lucas

Richard M. Lucas is the EVP, General Counsel & Secretary at Walker & Dunlop. Richard has also served as the President, DC Board at JDRF Greater Chesapeake and Potomac Chapter, and as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at Hilton Worldwide. Prior to that, they were a partner at Arnold & Porter.

Richard has been dedicated to fighting for a cure for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) since their daughter Kate was diagnosed with the disease in 2007. Richard has raised money for research through JDRF Greater Chesapeake and Potomac Chapter and has been a vocal advocate for those with T1D.

Richard is a respected lawyer with over 25 years of experience. Richard has represented both large and small companies in a variety of industries. Richard is a skilled negotiator and litigator, and has been recognized for their commitment to pro bono work.

Richard received their J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1990. Richard is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the Virginia State Bar.

Richard M. Lucas received their JD from Yale Law School and their BSBA in finance from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.
