Dr. Chris Weirman has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Dr. Chris started their career as a Senior Chemist at Calsonic Kansei Corporation in 1995. Dr. Chris then worked as a Process Development Engineer and later as a Manufacturing Engineer at Calsonic Kansei from 2000 to 2006. Following that, they joined Tata Steel Europe as a Research Engineer, specializing in coating technologies. Dr. Weirman then transitioned to Tata Steel UK, where they served as a Senior Technologist, focusing on new product development and market engagement. In 2014, they became a Programme Manager at Swansea University, overseeing the delivery of sustainable energy technologies. Currently, they are the Director of Technology at Wall Colmonoy, responsible for technical process and alloy development. Dr. Chris Weirman also served as a Council Member at the South Wales Materials Association from 2008 to 2013. Overall, they possess a wealth of experience in materials science, engineering management, and research development.
Dr. Chris Weirman received their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry with Analytical Science from Bryngwyn Comprehensive Llanelli in 1992. Dr. Chris then went on to attend Swansea University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Analytical Chemistry in 1995. Dr. Weirman continued their education at Swansea University, completing their Doctorate of Engineering in Chemistry, Metallurgy, and Corrosion in 2012. Dr. Chris also holds a certification in Doctorate of Engineering from Swansea University.
